Default Unable to add node to an existing Virual Server - 08-25-2004 , 08:27 AM

We have a cluster server with 2 nodes, both running
Win2000 Advanced Server. However the second cluster had to
be wiped and rebuilt from scratch. We have rebuilt the
server now and everything fails over apart from SQL
Server. I have installed it correctly using a Virtual
Server etc. However when I get to the screen for Cluster
Management, the node I wish to add is in Unavailable
Nodes. On the Books Online it says that if it is
unavailable then
"you must modify the the disk resources in the cluster
group of the virtual server so the disk is available for
the node you want to add the Microsoft SQL Server
Configuration."
What does it mean. I have looked at the configuration of
the SQL Server cluster resource on the other node but in
the possible owners the second node is not showing so I
can't add it in.

Any ideas???

Many Thanks

Kevin

Kevin, you will need to go through the SQL setup program to add the node.
Online instructions are here...
