Default Truncate SQL Server Error Log - 01-06-2004 , 12:43 PM

I have a SQL Server 2000 Clustered server that has not
been rebooted in several months and the error log is
approximately 1.5 MB in size. It takes several minutes to
refresh the error log. What is the best practice to
eliminate last month's data from the error log?

Thank You,

Dan

Look up sp_cycle_errorlog in BOL. Run this on a regular schedule and your
problem is solved.
