Default Transparent client redirection - 10-09-2009 , 08:22 AM

I'm new to server clustering, and need to implement a SQL Server 2008
cluster.
In http://support.microsoft.com/?id=273673 I read that when SQL Server 2005
fails over, the client is disconnected and it should handle the
reconnection. Does this apply to SQL Server 2008? If so, is there any other
way to do a transparent client redirection without losing client connection?

Thanks!

Yes, it applies to SQL Server 2008 as well. In order to provide transparent
reconnection, it must be written into the client application being used.
