Default TCP/IP Binding failure in SQL Server 2000 cluster - 01-24-2008 , 04:32 AM

Dear All,

Microsoft recommends the following resolution to fix the TCP/IP binding
failures.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307197/en-us

The article refers to a registry key TcpAbortiveClose. Can I know what is
the use is TcpAbortiveClose and what is its use and how it prevents TCP/IP
binding failure.

Regards
Balaji
