Hello, I have a problem that perhaps someone could share some suggestions on how to resolve it. We have a SQL Cluster with a primary and secondary node. We also have a File/Print Cluster with a primary and secondary node. Both clusters are in the same rack with two UPS's. The server room switches over to a back-up generator during a power failure and the UPS only has to hold up the servers for 10 or 15 seconds before the emergency power comes on-line. When a power failure occurs, all of the resources are still on the primary node of the File/Print server. However, on the SQL cluster, the SQL_Server group has failed over to the secondary node. Cluster Group and Group 0 are still on the primary node. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to resolve this issue? Thanks in Advance, Danny Veals |

Put your network switch on the same UPS. NIC port failure will cause a failover of a SQL server virtual instance. Geoff N.
