Default sql setup on cluster question - 03-25-2009 , 02:41 PM

Hi folks.
I found next settings on cluster administrator:
node1: serv1
node2: serv2
serv1 --> active resources --> sqlserver_v - I guess virtual server
sql server instance which seems to be related to above hosts is \\serv1\in1

Please confirm my guess:
1. Proper cluster installation would be installed on virtual server and sql
instance would be: \\sqlserver_v\in1
2. Current installation, while is using host which happened to be cluster
node, is not cluster aware sql server installation.

Correct on both.

"SRV1\In1" is a local named instance on node 1.
