We have a SQL Server 2000 SP3 in which i have few databases. I would like to upgrade this server to SP4. This is easy, but the problem is this server has just 100MB of C:drive with which we are unable to upgrade to SP4 and i cannot delete any of the data in this Drive so we planned to move this sql 2000 directly to 2005. Can any one give me some details regarding this whether this is possible and if YES what do we need to to do inorder to achieve this GOAL. Thanks in Advance Srikanth -- Srikanth |

The SQL 2005 upgrade will take a lot more than 100 MB on the system disk. You need to expand that partition or replace it with a larger disk. 1st of all thanks for your reply. Is there any other way of upgrading without adding space to the disk drive....like can we use any virtual server to do this... Geoff N. Lack of space on the system disk won't go away. You need to move something off of it or replace it with a larger disk. 1st of all thanks for your reply. [quoted text clipped - 12 lines] Thanks in Advance Srikanth |
