Default SQL Server service and SQL Agent Service account in a cluster - 07-29-2009 , 02:13 AM

Hi.
I have a windows 2008 cluster configured and also have the SQL server and
the SQL server agent service configured inside the cluster.
In the services tab I have made these services manual and are configured
under a dedicated domain service account.
Can you tell me if the SQL server service in the services should be in
manual mode or automatic mode because when i restarted the servers in the
cluster the SQL server service and the SQL Agent service did not start.
Any help is appreciated
Regards
-Riz

Both services should be in manual mode. The Cluster Service handles the
starting and stopping of these services. You need to check the Service or
Application properties to determine whether SQL and SQL Agent start
automatically.
