Default SQL server not failing over - 02-12-2004 , 12:08 PM

Hello,
I have sucessfully setup a 2 node win2003 cluster w/
sql2000. I can move all sql resources to node 2 just fine
when node 1 remains up and running. However whenever i
shut down node 1 and all resources bounce over to node2
everything comes back online except:

SQL server
SQL server agent
SQL server full text

I increased the online pending timeout to 500 seconds
still with no luck. The virtual server install went fine.
As soon as I power up node 1 and it gets to the windows
logon the 3 SQL services startup on node2 like they are
supposed to. I really appreciate any help and ideas.
Thank you.

I figured it out.
The second node needed to be promoted to a backup domain
controller for the sql service to start up using the
domain admin account.

You should be aware of some of the issues involved with clustering domain
controllers:
