Default SQL Server database files and SANs - 11-09-2007 , 06:52 PM

If I configure a director-class SAN with RAID 10 for the actual storage with
enough and more space, is it safe to assume that I can store all database
files (primary and secondary) and log files on the same logical drive exposed
by the SAN and have SQL Server 2005/2008 perform optimally?

Or do I need to configure the SAN differently for separating out the
different SQL Server files on different volumes?

Thanks.

It is still a good practice to separate your data files and log files
regardless the type of storage you may use.
