I have to ask. Why are you building a brand-new system with 9 year old
technology?
And yes, you need to start from the node that currently owns the disk
resource(s) you will be using for the clustered SQL instance.

I have a SQL Server 2000 cluster installation to complete. This
installation will be a 2 node cluster that will be active / passive
cluster.
Should all of the resources be on the node that you are currently doing
the
installation from?
Please help me with the SQL Server 2000 cluster installation instructions.
