Yes. You can have a three node cluster in Windows 2003 and SQL 2008.

You can mix and match SQL versions within a cluster.

No. You cannot mix Windows 2003 and WIndows 2008 in the same cluster.
You also cannot do an in-place cluster upgrade from Windows 2003 to
WIndows 2008.

Hi all,

I have a 2-node active/active SQL 2005 SP2 cluster running on 2 Windows
Server 2003 x64 edition boxes. I am considering adding a 3rd node on
Windows 2008 x64 with SQL 2008. Is this possible?
