Hello: I have installed SQL 2000 Enterprise in a Microsoft Cluster Windows 2000 several times. I am trying now to install it on a MSCS Windows 2003 and I can see there are several differences. First of all, when I did with Windows 2000 the first step was to configure the Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator. To do this, I had to run the command "comclust.exe" in all the nodes of the cluster. I have read this document to configure MSDTC in Windows 2003 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/817064/en-us You have to create a group for the MSDTC with its IP, its network name and its physical disk resource (in windows 2000 the MSDTC resource stays in the Cluster Group) I need to know how much capacity must have the physical disk for the MSDTC group. The physical disk resource for the database will be 54 GB. Is there a white paper about haw install SQL 2000 in a Windows 2003 Cluster? Thank you very much |
