We are looking to implement an Active / Passive cluster in our environment and some of the instructions seem a little vague. We have a server with 5 instances of SQL running for different applications. We want to build the new cluster to support those instances. Right now, we have drives for Data, Index, Logs, TempDB, Backups, etc that are shared amongst those 5 instances. From what I am reading in the SQL Clustering doc is that each instance must be on its own Cluster group. Does this mean that I need to have 5 different "disks" for each instance that I currently have? |
