I am trying to install SQL 2K onto a Win 2003 Ent. Ed. machine to create an
Active-Passive node. The installation gets as far as the Remote Information
dialog for me to provide a valid administrator account. After putting in
valid details the setup crashes with no error.

The only clues I have are the App Event Log;

Faulting application _INS5576._MP, version 5.53.168.0, faulting module
unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00000000.

My current research points to an InstallShield failure but the fixes I have
tried have so far be unsuccessful.

Quick checklist.

Cluster host nodes are domain members (NOT Controllers)
All accounts are domain-level
Cluster service account is a local admin on all hosts.
Install account is local admin on all hosts
SQL Service account is local admin on all hosts.
You have logged into the console of each host using all three accounts.
You run the install from the node that owns the physical resource you are
installing SQL to.
