There is nothing magic about a SQL Service account. Most of the time, the defaults work just fine, except you don't want the password to expire. AD Users and Computers tool, create a new user. Fill in the information and you are done. -- Geoff N. Hi Geoff This is the step that i used to create that service account for SQL cluster 2008 environment Go to AD server-----create user from AD User and computer directory Type-----Cluster Administrator with User logon Name is = clusteradmin Password = xxxxxxxxx I checked = Password Never expires Then i go to both node which is DBW01 and DBW02. Under the Administrative tools, i go to Computer Management. Then under Local Users and Groups, i select Groups and i select Administrator. By right click, i choose to "Add to Group". Then i add the "clusteradmin" in the Administrator Properties Dialog Box. The apply. Then i return back to the sql setup and by using that clusteradmin account, i managed to continue the wizard "Geoff N. Hiten" wrote: There is nothing magic about a SQL Service account.
