Default Separate LUNS for data files - 04-18-2008 , 01:24 AM

We are looking to create an Active/Passive cluster with two named instances.
In this scenario, would the data files associated with the different
instances need to be placed on different LUNS are could all of the data files
be placed in the same LUN?

Two different instances in a cluster can't share the same LUN. Otherwise,
they would not be able to failover independently.
