Default Seeing slq on cluster on more than one network - 02-22-2004 , 04:29 PM

We have a pair (active passive) of SQL 2003 running in a cluster. The
problem is that the virtual SQL server only appears on one of the two
networks we have running. The settings under SQL IP in the cluster
manager only allows you to select one network.

I want to be able to access the virtual server from both networks (one
is a monitoring network).

Any ideas?

Haven't tried it but...

Add an IP resource to the SQL Server cluster group and
make the SQL Server resource dependent upon it.

BTW: I think SQL Server setup handles this for you. It is
possible to add more than one IP address to the virtual
server.
