I am learning the ropes concerning supporting sql server on a cluster. I have a couple of 2 node clusters running active/passive with SQL 2005. In setting up Database Mail and Sql Server agent notifications, I found that I had to set properties to select the mail type and profile for the Sql Server agent. To make the changes effective requires "restarting" the Sql Server agent per documentation. That is where my question is. How should I restart the sql server agent? From all I've read, I should not touch these via the Services console but rather the Cluster Admin. But I see no way to restart the agent via the Cluster Admin. Any advise? Thx, Russell |
