I have a new 2 node active\passive Windows 2003 R2 SP2 64bit, SQL 2005 SP2 (with latest patches) installed. When I failover from node1 to node2, the SQL Server, SQL Server Aent and SQL Analysis services do not come online. I can not bring them online manually either. The services are stopped. When I go into the services applet and try to start them manually, I get a logon error issue. I open the service, re-enter the password and am then able to start the services and bring the resources online. I can fail back to node1 without issues. If I failover to node2 again, the same issue occurs. If I reboot node1 and failover to node2, everything is fine (now that I re-entered the services passwords). If I'm active on node2 and failover to node1 after the restart, I have the same issue. I have to re-enter the service passwords on node1. It seems that a restart does something to the service passwords for that particular node. Any ideas? |
