I have a working 4-node cluster on 2003 that installed just fine. Did you
check:

PRB: Installation of a Named Instance of SQL Server 2000 Virtual Server on a
Windows 2003-Based Cluster Fails
http://support.microsoft.com/default...&Product=sql2k

Also, you cannot install SQL 2000 on a Windows 2003 Terminal Server.

Hi,

We need to install 3 and 4 node clusters on windows 2003, when we attempt
to install SQL 2000 it fails, If we evict one node and try to install it
succeeds. Does anyone know if there is a special way of doing this, is there
any white papers/documentation that describes installing a 3 or 4 node multi
instances SQL on 2003.

Thanks.
