Before doing that, consider using SQL LiteSpeed (www.imceda.com). They can
provide log-shipping scripts. Their product backs up and simultaneously
compresses SQL Server DB's and logs. Fewer bytes through the wire = faster
performance.

Hi Folks,

I'm setting up log shipping that copies logs to a system at a remote
location. The initial load that's performed is taking forever. We're using
a T1 line between here and our remote system across country. Can anyone
recommend a line speed that works best in this scenario.

Thanks in advance.

Larry
