Try to install sql client first then add an alias for the
server name you're trying to install.

Hi,

We need to install 3 and 4 node clusters on windows
2003, when we attempt to install SQL 2000 it fails, If we
evict one node and try to install it succeeds. Does anyone
know if there is a special way of doing this, is there any
white papers/documentation that describes installing a 3
or 4 node multi instances SQL on 2003.

Thanks.
