Default Oracle 10g client on SQL 2005 four node cluster. - 10-23-2007 , 05:49 AM

....has anybody tried this? ...
I need to install the 10g client on a cluster virtual server so that I can
use integration services to pull data from oracle to sql. I have this
already running on non clustered servers.

Question is, is the 10g client Windows cluster aware?

Any advice would be helpful.

Regards,

Mark.

It's not MSCS cluster aware, and you should just install it on each node. To
save you trouble, install it exactly the same on each node.

Hi Linchi, thanks. Could I ask if you have tried (and successfully
performed) this. Do you have any links or other references that I could
check. Problem is that this 4 node is brand new and now a critical part of
the business. Don't want to risk killing it until I am 100% sure.

Thanks,

Mark.

We have Oracle and Sybase clients installed on many of our clusters.
