Hi,
I have created a cluster with Cluster IP Address "192.168.7.72" with
following properties
Cluster operation mode : Multicast
Affinity: Single
and i have added two hosts within that
host1: 192.168.7.240 (priority1)
host2: 192.168.7.68 (priority2) |
I am assuming that the servers are running fine other than below.

Problem1: Am partialling receiving the muticast data from the other
systems in the same network |
Yep. This will happen when using Multicast

Problem2: Am not able to telnet to the Cluster using the Internet IP
Address where as am able to telnet internally |
This is also an issue with Multicast. THere are many devices that do not
support the multicasting of non-multicast address spaces.
The best practice is to use Unicast.
If you are using Unicast in 2003, then you should have a second network
adapter for ease of management and intracluster communication (no, this is
not like a heartbeat or anything like that. Remember that NLB nodes talk to
each other and establish their load balancing algorithm through the NLB'd
NIC, which is one connected to the company network.
If you are using Unicast in 2008, then you can do that with a single NIC and
it should work fine.
