Thank you very much. Now actually my question is how to convert single
instance cluster into multiple instance cluster. I have single instance
cluster and now I want to convert into multiple instance cluster. How can I
setup in windows 2003 cluster adminstrator? Do I need to add new cluster, new
group? Can you give me some hint? Thanks.

Hi Guys,
I have experience in single instance cluster installation, but I don't
have
multiple instance cluster installation. I check a lot of documents about
it,
but haven't got idea. Is there a lot of difference between them? Could
anybody recommend me some useful doc to me? such as step by step
installation
and so on. BTW, in single instance cluster, there is only one virtual
cluster
name or ip assigned. How about in multiple instance cluster? Are there
more
ip address or cluster name assigned?

Thanks.

You don't 'convert' a single instance cluster to a multiple instance cluster.
If you already have a SQL instance in a Windows failover cluster, you can
just run SQL Setup again and add another instance to the same Windows
failover cluster. There are some rules as to what mix you have with respect
to default/named instances, and they are documented in the Books Online.

So, after you have installed your first SQL instance in a cluster, you have
a single instance cluster. After you have installed the 2nd SQL instance in
that same cluster, you have a two-instance cluster, and so on and so forth.
