Default MSDTC and SQL Server Cluster - 11-26-2003 , 05:45 AM

I have installed SQL2000 sp3 on w2K3. When I first tried
to connect from a W2K (sp3, MDAC 2.7) web server I
received an error MSDTC on "server" is unavailable.
I tried to start MSDTC in enterprise manager but nothing
happend. I then followed the KB artical 294209: HowTo:
Rebuild or move MSDTC used with a SQL Failover Cluster.
This allowed me to start MSDTC.
I can use BEGIN DISTRIBUTED TRANSACTION in Query analyser
but my COM+ db component client now hangs. This component
is written by an external vendor so I do not have access
to the source.

Any Ideas?
Thanks
Gary

Take a look at these Windows 2003 specific articles to see if they help any.

817064 HOW TO: Enable Network DTC Access in Windows Server 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=817064
817065 HOWTO: Enable Network COM+ Access in Windows Server 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=817065

If neither of those help, try posting this question in a Windows newsgroup.
