Default MSDTC cluster service for SQL - 10-07-2004 , 04:00 AM

Hello

I'm about to install a active/active sql cluster on
windows 2003 server. I've installed the cluster service
without any problems. My question is concerning the DTC
service on each node of the cluster. I've yet to configure
the MSDTC as a cluster resource, and I can't start the DTC
service on any of the nodes. Will the MSDTC cluster
resource work if the local DTC service can't be started?
Thanks, Parky

There is only one MSDTC resource for the whole cluster. DTC Service is manage
from Cluster Service.

You can find more information on MS KB article: 'How to configure Microsoft
Distributed Transaction Coordinator on a Windows Server 2003 cluster'
