What about when doing linked servers? Do you have to add the MSDTC, MSDTC
Network Name, MSDTC IP Address cluster resources? If not, when would be
necessary to use the MSDTC, MSDTC Network Name, MSDTC IP Address resources
cluste resources.

Does Enable DTC for network access just have to be installed? Our linked
server queries weren't working until we installed Enable DTC for network
access however the cluster also has also. The cluster is an active/active
sql 2000 enterprise with Windows 2003 Enteprise.

Default MSDTC (Please email or notify to nrodriguez@ci.miami.fl.us) Thanks - 09-22-2004 , 01:31 PM

Now that we are discussing MSDTC I have a problem.

I have a SQL Virtual Server that I already configured. It looks like MSDTC
is well configured, but I have an apllication that is giving me this error:
"XACT_E_NOENLIST" error message in DTC and SQL Server

I follow Microsoft suggestions:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;831425
but I still is not working

I compare the server with another Virtual Sql Server and the only difference
I found regardin gto settings and others was that the old server has the
following extended store procedures related to Distributed Transactions
(sp_abort_xact, sp_commit_xact, etc) . I do not know from where those store
procedures were added to the SQL Server and even do not know if this is the
reason of the application failure.

Any help?

Thanks
