Default Monitoring CLuster Status - 07-08-2003 , 11:09 AM

The challenge is to (programmatically) monitor the status of a SQL Server
2000 cluster, in order that the application can make decisions about
Database errors (the idea being that if a failover is in progress, wait
until its finished, and try again). Thus avoiding reporting errors back to
the client, if possible, about any in-flight transactions that would
otherwise be lost.

Any input on the subject woul dbe appreciated. Development environment is
C++/ATL/OLEDB templates.

Tony

Tony,

To assist you with creating cluster aware applications for those client
connections, review the cluster aware section of the Platform SDK at:
http:\\msdn.microsoft.com\platformsdk

Also:
