Default Migrating to SQL 2008 Cluster - 09-28-2009 , 12:19 PM

I am planning on a two node SQL 2008 cluster but will not be ready to
install the cluster for a few weeks. Is it possible to install the cluster
services after the SQL 2008 install, in other words can I use setup the
server now for SQL 2008 and add the cluster service later.

Yes, but not how you think.

SQL will remain unclustered in your scenario.

SQL 2008 clustered installation requires MSCS as a pre-requisite. No way
around that.
