Default merge SP3 to SQL Server 2000 - 12-03-2003 , 02:45 AM






1. when install SQL Server 2000 on windows 2003 , SP2 or
earlier willnot be supported . But if you ignore this
message , install SP3 , No issue .

2. when install SQL Server 2000 on windows 2003 Cluster
(MSCS) , SP2 or earlier will failed . So , can i merge the
SP3 to SQL Server 2000 ?

3. or any other way to install SQL Server 2000 on windows
2003 Cluster ??

Hi,

When you look at this article and follow the steps you can install a named instance SQL 2000 SP2 on a 2003 cluster. After the installation you will have to install the SP3A for SQL and your cluster is ready.

You will need to make a named pipes alias. http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;815431

No, I'm afraid MS don't provide for slipstreaming of SQL servicepacks
