Hi. I posted the message below in microsoft.public.sqlserver.setup & microsoft.public.windows.server.setup and was advised to also post here. ----------------------------- I'm in the initial planning stage of a web site that is expected to grow to many users and a lot of data in SQL Server 2000. 24/7/365 is a requirement and the plans are to have two physical sites. I know that Windows Server 2003 and SQL Server 2000 can be set up for high reliability and scalability. What are some good resources to start figuring out exactly how to do it? Thanks. -- Mark ----------------------------- People posted these links. Are there other good resources for planning exactly how to scale? Thanks! SQL 2000 Operations Guide is a good starting point at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/tre...de/default.asp. Definitely a good resource. Kimberly Tripp teaches an excellent High Availability SQL class. She also has good material on performance tuning databasesThis book will get you looking and thinking in the right direction. And yes, you can put SQL in the middle of a very large and highly available website. -- Geoff N.
