Hello, I am hoping that someone may be able to help with a problem on a W2K Advanced Server with SQL Enterprise 2K. The problem is that we had a massive hardware failure of the cluster and both servers due to a faulty UPS and high voltage surge. This rendered the cluster unusable. We have now managed to get the cluster running which originally had Exchange and SQL on, and Exchange is now running again. The problem is with SQL server which we could not get running despite several attempts. We rescued the data and moved it to a new SQL server and did a forced uninstall of SQL server from both cluster nodes. Everything is fine except when you go into Cluster Administrator, we get the following error : "An error occured attempting to read properties for the 'SQL Server' resource type: Invalid class string Error ID:-2147221005 (800401f3). Also within Cluster Configuration > Resource types, the Sql Server (SQSRVRES.DLL) and Sql Server Agent (SQAGTRES.DLL) are showing as errors (which is not a surprise as they are no longer there). Does anyone know how I can force Cluster Administrator to forget these Resouce Types ever existed. Thanks. Martin Johnstone |
