Default Installing a non-clustered SQL instance on a single node in a clus - 03-18-2009 , 02:10 AM

Hi,

A customer requires a non-clustered SQL instance (in order to verify Netapp
snapshots, which for some reason is not supported with a clustered SQL 2005
instance).

Is there any problem with setting up the non-clustered instance on one of
the cluster nodes?

Thanks,
S. Neumann

It should work just fine. Be aware that the "default" instance can be
either clustered or stand-along but not both.
