I just installed SQL Server 2005 SP2 Hotfix 8 on my two node active/passive
cluster and now SQL Server Agent won't start. There are three entries in the
Event logs for Applications. They say.
[sqagtres] StartResourceService: Failed to start SQLSERVERAGENT service.
CurrentState: 1
followd by:
[sqagtres] OnlineThread: ResUtilsStartResourceService failed (status 435)
followed by:
sqagtres] OnlineThread: Error 435 bringing resource online.

Can anyone shed any light on this problem? I'm kind of dead in the water
without SQL Server Agent running.
