Default Install DTS package in sql server 2008 cluster - 05-18-2009 , 12:36 AM

Hi There
I want to import my DTS package from sql server 2000 to sql server 2008 with
cluster.

I save all the required packages from sql server 2000. Then i go to SQL
server 2008 management studio, select instance, select management, select
legacy, select data tranformation service, right click and select import
package file.

When i try to import the package, I found error that said to install package
"SQLServer2005_BC(2).msi"...

So i download the package...

But before i want to run the package, is there any special step that i need
to run, like maybe stop the cluster service or else???

Then do i need to run this package on BOTH nodes or just at Primary/Active
nodes?

TQVM....

Hi
No, you do not need to to stop the cluster. Just import and start using. Yes
, you need to move the package on the passive node as well (make sure if
you move the data from AS400,that all client access references are defined
on both nodes)

This may prove useful as Integration Services is not cluster aware.
