Default the influence of connection fail on cluster administrator - 04-06-2005 , 11:49 AM

after unplugging the public network of both nodes, waiting alittle bit
and replugging them, there was a major problem in the cluster
administrator - while openning its window the service seem to hang, the
main frame of the program was blank !

is it an expected result ?
what can be done to resolve this ?

thanks

The problem is the cluster manager app is trying to connect to the network
instance of the cluster. Because the cluster group is offline, the cluster
application cannot reconcile the name and hangs until it times out. You
will need to connect to the local machine name from teh cluster admin tool.
That will connect to the local cluster service rather than to the cluster
network instance. You can then use the cluster manager applet normally.

Use a "." as the cluster name
