You will have to disable any SCSI on-board controller cache when clustering.
This will impact performance regardless of RAID type, but it is worse with
RAID-5. If you are using a Fiber-Channel array or a SAN, they typically
have their own cache that is independant of the host controller. That cache
can and should be left active. Slow performance is one reason I avoid SCSI
clusters if possible.
