Just run the SQL2000 setup and add another virtual server and named instance
(or default instance if the default instance not already installed). The
SQL2000 setup will copy all the SQL2000 binaries (minus some shared
utilities) to a different directory tree. This new instance will require at
least one physical disk separate from the disk(s) already used by the first
instance. You need to have this physical disk resource in a separate
resource group before starting the install.
It's pretty much just following the GUI prompt for installing a new SQL2000
instance in a cluster. Do remember to apply the latest service pack (SP3a)
after the install.
It would not be a common practice to add any more network card to install
another instance. You should have all the network cards you need before you
even install the first instance.

Hi,
I have a SQL2K cluster (with Windows 2000 Advanced Server)
with a single instance.
I would like to add a second instance, and I'm asking what
are the correct steps to perform in order to not disrupt
my existing DB.
Another question:
Is it necessary to add network board to my cluster to
configure the second virtual server ?
Thanks in advance,
