Default How to configure clustering both the SQL Server 2000 and MS Exchange 2000 - 01-20-2004 , 06:56 PM

Question: How to Clustered both SQL Server 2000 and MS
Exchange in One Server? You know I have a machine server
which i would like to configure MS Exchange in same manner
of SQL Server 2000 that have shared storage. I mean
computer A connect to virtual shared storage and computer
B connect them too, if one fail does not be cut off the
one connection is on, and the running server both computer
A and B is a SQL Server, and I want to include a MS
Exchange 2000 in the same manner of SQL Server does not be
fail in one connection if the one connection cut off it
continous serving a mail and sql server. Thank you and God
Bless u... This is the challenge...

This isn't a recommended configuration, as both have some
shared components and dependencies (such as MDAC) which
may require different versions, etc. Then there's the
issues around memory models, and sizing the boxes properly
so that you get the performance you need from both.

My recommendation is to put Exchange on another cluster.
