Backing up a database in a cluster is really not different from backing up a datbase in a standalone instance. If you use some third-party utility, you typically need to ensure that the utility is installed on all the nodes that the SQL instance can be moved to. Or more generally, you should test the tool to make sure that backup would work regardless which node the SQL instance may be running on.
