Default FailOver Instance "ABCD" cluster group not found - 12-18-2009 , 12:47 AM






Dear All,

While adding second Node into Named instance in SQL 2008 x86 Ent. Clustering
we are getting error "FailOver Instance "ABCD" cluster group not found", not
able to add add second node. Os is windows 2008 x64 Ent.

Any information on above error.

Check your firewall settings.

Hi Geoff,

Thanks for response,

This is my Named instance installation and getting error while going to step
of Service accounts in add node in sql clustering setup.

Firewall is totally disable on both node nodes, and the default instance
clustered is working fine.

Ok. Just looked at your initial post again. x86 on x64 (WoW)is not a
supported configuration for Windows/SQL 2008 clustering.

Either switch to 64-bit SQL or 32-bit OS.
