-----Original Message----- Hello: I want to extend the SQL server volume (SAN disk) as the volume is getting nearly full. Can anyone recommend a procedure that impacts little or nothing? I am trying to do mount volume to a folder. Does it help? How does SQL server know about that folder? Can we assign multiple directories in the SQL sever disk allocation? I was told that Veritas Volume Manager or DISKPART utility may do the job. Did anyone try these tools to extend the volume without evacuating the data? Thanks in advance doc . |

Thank you for your kind reply. I am on the same page about 'Mount VOlumes' as they are mostly file server related extensions. Does anyone try DISPART on SAN (whatever SAN you have) to extend the existing storage on a production system? *** Sent via Developersdex http://www.developersdex.com *** Don't just participate in USENET...get rewarded for it! |
