You can also use sp_send_cdosysmail from Microsoft KB312839
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=312839

-----Original Message-----
All,
When i needed to use email notifications in the past with
a sql cluster I had to "forward" events and messages to a
non clustered server with a MAPI client installed. This is
because outlook 2000 and previous was not cluster aware.

Does anyone know if Outlook 2003 is cluster aware?

Does anyone have a better alternative to using outlook
for SQL email notofication? For a cluster?

TIA
.

Detroit

Blat is a command line E-Mail program that is relatively easy to use. You should be able to create a batch process to accomplish this
