Default dtsrun.exe drops dead - 08-24-2004 , 09:49 PM

Win2003, SQL2000 Sp03a
We have had several cases of a DTS package failing where
it appears that the dtsrun process dropped dead in its
tracks.
Anyone seen one of these ?

We get one of the standard Microsoft error reports popups -
the only part of this that I can make sense of includes
this line -
HeaderText=DTSRUN - DTS Package CommandLine Execution
encountered a problem and needed to close.

I guess the dump files would mean something to Microsoft,
but they're not talking to me.

TIA

What do you mean...they're not talking to me? Have you opened a case to
troubleshoot this?

Sorry my careless turn of a phrase - I meant that I can't make any
sense from the dumps, I believe Microsoft certainly could.

So I am just looking to see if anyone has tripped over this kind of
behaviour from a dtsrun process ?
