Hi All.. Just looking for some opinions on which path to follow.. We have a requirement to build 2 SQL server 2005 boxes on windows 2003 R2. The info we have is that there will be a high load, so they are to be load balanced, and they want HA. They want it all.. 24x7. Ability to take one box down for updates/hardware failure while the remaining box still serves but at a limited capacity. We have plenty of hardware, shared storage if required. Considering they want it load balanced AND HA, what's the most suitable path to follow? Initially we were thinking NLB the win2003 servers and use peer to peer transaction replication. But i'd like to hear opinions on it. Thanks. |
