Default Design Question - 12-11-2009 , 12:15 PM

I am configuring a 2 node windows 2008 failover cluster for SQL 2008. I
want to put three instances in the cluster. Is it a better design to put
all three instances in one cluster group or have 3 separate servers? I see
that both options are available. My thought is that if I put all instances
in one group - all 3 have to failover together.

You cannot put more than one instance in a group (now renamed to "Service or
Application").
