Default Connection Problems on W2003 cluster - 07-17-2003 , 10:58 AM

Problem solved! We had changed IP's after we deployed on
our production network. Turns out all IP connections were
failing. AD clients were still able to get in but only
over NamedPipes. Change the SQLServer configs and now all
is fine!

We have a clustered sql server installation running on
windows 2003 enterprise. SqlServer is setup for mixed
mode
authentication. We are not able to connect client
machines
to SqlServer unless they are added to the cluster's AD
Domain. SqlServer is setup as default listening on 1433.
When we try to connect supplying the sa credentials, we
get "Sql Server does not exist or access is denied"
errors. If we join the AD, we are able to connect using
either authentication method.

Anyone have any suggestions? Please don't tell me that
every client machine needs to be in AD - that would
really
suck.

Thanks,
