Default Configure MSDTC on Windows 2008 Cluster with SQL Server 2005 - 02-12-2009 , 12:09 PM

Hello friends,

I created a 2 node w2008 cluster with 2 instances of SQL Server 2k5 sp3 and
I'm confused with one configuration on MSDTC Resource.
Based on the advise from
http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/geoffh/ar...-Clusters.aspx
, I created on eache SQL Server Group a MSDTC resource that have the
following dependencies:
Dedicated Disk and the SQL Server network name.
Is this correct or should I create a dedicated IP and network name for each
Msdtc resource?

Thank you,

Bruno

If the MSDTC resourcde is in the SQL Application group, then you can use the
SQL group name and IP address.
